Norway
Nordnet entered the Norwegian market in 2001, and gained a leading position through an acquisition of a main competitor in 2004. Today, we have a prime position on the Oslo Stock Exchange, being among the biggest actors in terms of both number of trades and turnover.
Nordnet is often seen in media commenting on savers’ activity, and has built up a reputation of being the challenger within the banking sector. During the past years, we have made important inroads into becoming en established actor within the broader mutual fund and pension markets.
In the mutual fund area, we were among the first providers to get rid of most transaction fees which has led the way for more intensive fund trading and better conditions for the savers. On the pension market, more and more people discover the advantages of switching to Nordnet's services with low charges and extensive freedom of choice.
Nordnet has an office in Oslo, from which customer service, marketing and sales on the Norwegian market is handled.
